- Gulf Countries share a basin that contains a large variety of marine life that is considered to be an important economic resource. It is noticeable that oil accidents and spills are increasing which had a significant effect on the marine environment. Many governmental and oil sector agencies are participating in supervision and combating processes to decrease direct and indirect effects on the marine environment, navigation, and beaches of big economic and social importance.
- This seminar will help candidates understand objectives of Oil Spill Management: Development of in-house abilities in assessing dangers resulting from marine pollution, treatment of marine -pollution by chemical, biological, physiological methods, assessing in the damage resulting from marine pollution accidents, documenting and reporting the Marine pollution incidents, identifying responsibilities and taking action (both agencies & individuals),exploring new methods of combating marine pollution, decision making and delegation of tasks and field operations.
