Management of Change
This 5-day course provides a practical and structured approach to Management of Change (MOC) in high-risk industrial environments. It covers technical, operational, organizational, procedural, temporary, and emergency changes, with a focus on identifying and controlling HSE, process safety, fire, and security risks.
Participants will learn how to manage the complete MOC lifecycle, including risk assessment, approval, implementation, Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR), safety-barrier verification, auditing, and post-change assurance.
Learn how to prevent incidents caused by poorly managed changes.
Develop a systematic approach to identifying and controlling change-related risks.
Improve MOC risk assessments, approval, documentation, and implementation.
Strengthen management of changes affecting fire protection, security, and safety-critical systems.
Gain practical experience through MOC workshops, case studies, and scenario-based exercises.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Understand the principles, purpose, and lifecycle of Management of Change.
Identify HSE, process safety, fire, explosion, and security risks created by changes.
Apply structured MOC risk assessment and change-classification methods.
Manage technical, organizational, procedural, temporary, and emergency changes.
Evaluate affected safety-critical systems, barriers, and safeguards.
Apply effective approval, implementation, PSSR, verification, auditing, and close-out processes.
