Day - 1

  • Types of Crises & Emergencies
    • Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, hurricanes)
    • Industrial accidents (chemical spills, explosions)
    • Technological crises (system failures, cyberattacks)
    • Man-made disasters (terrorist attacks, sabotage)
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation Strategies
    • Identifying potential threats and risks
    • Assessing vulnerability and impact
Day - 2

Emergency Response Planning & Protocols

  • Developing an Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
    • Key components: Roles & responsibilities, communication plans, evacuation procedures
    • Scenario-specific ERPs (natural disasters, industrial accidents, etc.)
  • Incident Command System (ICS)
    • Structure, roles, and responsibilities in ICS
    • Effective decision-making during emergencies
  • Resource Management & Logistics
    • Managing resources, personnel, and equipment during crises
    • Coordinating with external agencies (firefighters, police, medical teams)
Day - 3

Crisis Leadership & Communication

  • Crisis Leadership: Managing Teams Under Pressure
    • Maintaining composure and effective decision-making
    • Delegating tasks and managing resources
  • Crisis Communication
    • Internal communication strategies
    • External communication: Media relations and public statements
    • Crisis messaging for stakeholders and the public
  • Legal and Ethical Considerations
    • Compliance with local, national, and international regulations
    • Minimizing legal exposure during crisis situations
Day - 4

Simulation Exercise & Scenario-Based Training

  • Live Simulation: Crisis Response Drill
    • Participants will be divided into teams and given a simulated severe crisis scenario (e.g., chemical spill, natural disaster, cyberattack).
    • Teams will apply their knowledge to manage the crisis, implement response strategies, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Debriefing & Lessons Learned
    • Analyze performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Discuss lessons learned from the exercise.
Day - 5

Post-Crisis Recovery, Continuity Planning & Final Assessment

  • Post-Crisis Recovery & Business Continuity
    • Transitioning from response to recovery: Ensuring business continuity
    • Psychological first aid for affected personnel
  • Crisis Management Review & Continuous Improvement
    • Updating crisis plans based on lessons learned
