Laboratory Safety Training Program

Course Outline

Day - 1
  • Over the course of two days, participants will engage in a comprehensive exploration of laboratory safety principles and practices.
  • We will focus on establishing a foundational understanding of laboratory hazards and safety protocols.
  • Through interactive lectures and discussions, participants will learn to identify common laboratory hazards, including chemical, biological, radiological, and physical risks.
  • Emphasis will be placed on the importance of risk assessment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
  • Practical demonstrations and case studies will illustrate key concepts and equip participants with the knowledge needed to recognize and mitigate risks effectively.
Day - 2
  • Participants will apply their knowledge in practical scenarios and hands-on exercises.
  • Through guided simulations and interactive activities, they will practice emergency response procedures, including evacuation protocols, spill cleanup techniques, and first aid interventions.
  • Participants will also engage in group discussions to analyze -laboratory hazards, develop risk mitigation strategies, and share best practices.
  • The training will conclude with a comprehensive review of key learnings and resources for ongoing safety education.
  • By the end of the program, participants will be empowered to promote a culture of safety in their laboratory environments and contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries.
